Omaha Police Identify and Arrest Suspect in Reported Sexual Assault at RiverFront

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Omaha Police have made an arrest in connection with a reported sexual assault at the RiverFront on the morning of June 15.

OPD tells 6 News that 41-year-old Terry Williams is in the Douglas County Jail facing first-degree sexual assault charges. Williams was also arrested for obstructing a peace officer and has an outstanding warrant.

Just before 6 a.m., officers were called to the area between 12th and Gallup Drive. An adult female victim told them that while she was out walking, she was approached by a man who followed her for a period of time before allegedly sexually assaulting her. She was able to escape and get help nearby.
