Hyderabad University suspends five students for protests

The University of Hyderabad has suspended five students, including union leader Atiq Ahmed, for six months and fined five SFI members Rs 10,000. The suspensions were due to the protests organised by students to hold the ‘Sukoon’ festival in May 2024. In response to the suspensions, the students’ union called for protests on campus on Monday, June 24.
