One person arrested in Idabel murder case

IDABEL, Oklahoma (KFOR) – A man has been arrested in connection with a murder in Idabel, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

On June 20, Idabel Police requested the assistance of the OSBI after responding to a shooting near SW Bokhoma St. and SW Monroe St. that afternoon.

When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Jimmy Lanham suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

According to OSBI, evidence collected at the scene led special agents to 25-year-old Brady Van. He was arrested and booked into the McCurtain County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder.
