CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Crews are working to remove a tree that fell on power lines in Cape Girardeau.

According to Patrolman Bobby Newton of the Cape Police Department, the fallen tree is located in the area of ​​Lexington Ave. and Old Sprigg Street Road.

The tree is blocking the 1100 block of Old Sprigg St.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.
