KPD investigates fatal motorcycle crash on Millertown Pike

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Knoxville Police are investigating a single-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon on Millertown Pike.

The accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. near the Spring Hill Road intersection. A man was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and pronounced dead, KPD said.

The department believes the driver lost control while attempting to make a turn and that speed was a factor in the accident.

KPD also said that the identity of the victim would not be disclosed because the investigation is still ongoing.
