Woman seriously injured in e-bike accident in Banff National Park, Alberta

BANFF – A woman is in critical but stable condition in hospital after suffering injuries sustained in an e-bike accident in Banff National Park on Saturday (June 22).

The STARS rescue helicopter responded to the incident in the Banff area at 1 p.m. and flew the woman, who is in her 60s, to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary.

“An adult patient was transported to a Calgary hospital in critical but stable condition,” Patrick Burles, spokesman for Alberta Health Services, said in an email.
