More rain is expected this weekend, especially in Wisconsin

WEATHER HISTORY: Despite fears of downpours and severe storms, Grandma’s Marathon went off without any major mishaps. One problem, however, still remains: the ongoing flood warning for parts of northern Minnesota. It will remain in effect through Sunday afternoon. And the flooding could get worse, as more rain is expected Saturday night and Sunday. Minnesota will get less rain this time, but Wisconsin and the UP could get a few more inches.

SATURDAY NIGHT: There is a 60% chance of rain, with the highest rainfall expected in Wisconsin and UP. The nighttime low temperature will be in the 50s. Winds will be northeast at 5-15 mph.

TUESDAY: The higher pressure will keep skies mostly sunny. The morning low will be in the 60s. The high could be in the 80s. Winds will be from the west at 5-15 mph.

COMING THIS WEEK: Tuesday’s sunshine may continue into Wednesday, but rain will return on Thursday. Thunderstorms may return to the region by Saturday.
