Somerset police ask for help identifying U-Haul driver after shoplifting incident

SOMERSET – Somerset Police reported another shoplifting incident at the local Home Depot today, marking an ongoing trend in shoplifting incidents.

Loss prevention officers attempted to arrest and identify the suspect, but the person managed to escape before he could be caught.

The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a small U-Haul truck driven by another man, and police pursued him.

The chase extended into Fall River and ended in the Brightman Street area, where the vehicle was eventually found abandoned.

Through careful investigative work, the authorities were able to identify the shoplifter.

However, the driver is still at large.

Investigators have released pictures of the male driver, who stands out for a conspicuous large cross tattoo on his right ankle.

Somerset Police are asking the public for help in identifying the driver of the U-Haul.

Officer William Goodale is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the man in the photos to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
