Palm Coast couple arrested after incident of road rage involving firearms and alleged death threats – Action News Jax

The FCSO Communications Center received a call from the victim who reported that a man on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle pointed a firearm at him during an incident of DUI. The victim also reported that a female passenger brandished a baton and the man smashed the side window of his pickup truck. The incident occurred while the victim was traveling westbound on the Hammock Dunes Toll Bridge in another pickup truck accompanied by a co-worker. The suspects allegedly threatened to kill the victim.

Based on the license plate number provided by the victim, the motorcycle was traced to Gregg Allen Pacheco and Amy Lynette Pacheco, who live on Wasserman Drive in Palm Coast. Officers observed the motorcycle in the garage of the residence as the garage door closed, but did not see the suspects.

Despite numerous attempts to reach them through announcements, phone calls, call waiting and emergency numbers, all calls went to voicemail.

Officers left the scene with no immediate threat to the public but continued the investigation. The FCSO’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) provided video footage and photo lineups to assist with the investigation.

The Investigative Services Division (ISD) assisted in obtaining arrest warrants and a search warrant for the residence. Evidence seized included two firearms: a Glock 27 .40 caliber and a Glock 43X 9mm.

Gregg Pacheco, 53, and Amy Pacheco, 46, were arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

Gregg Pacheco, who was on probation for a previous conviction of reckless driving, was also charged with violating probation and is being held on $40,000 bail. Amy Pacheco posted $7,500 bail and was released from the Sheriff Perry Hall Detention Center.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly commended the victim for reporting the incident, stating, “Drivers need to remember to control their anger and behavior. Road rage only leads to the Green Roof Inn, especially when a weapon is involved. Irresponsible and angry drivers have no place in Flagler County. Hopefully they will take our anger management class in jail or be required by the court to do so.”
