Last respects have been paid to a teenager who died in a car crash in Kesh, County Fermanagh.

18-year-old Oisin Gregg was involved in a two-vehicle accident on Letterboy Road on Friday evening.

He was hospitalized after the accident but has since died.

Oisin was a member of the North Fermanagh Young Defenders flute band and said he would be “sorely missed and always remembered”.

In a Facebook post, the group stated that it is “with deep sadness and regret that we have lost not only a band member, but also someone we were fortunate to call our friend.”

The post said he had been a member since he was 12 years old.

“We extend our sincere condolences to Oisin’s family and his entire family circle during this difficult time and they will remain in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

Devenish St Mary’s GAA club also posted on Facebook to “extend our condolences to the Gregg family following the tragic and untimely death of Oisin.”

“We extend our condolences to the extended family and our thoughts and prayers are with them now and in the future,” the post said.

Mark Ovens, Ulster Unionist councillor for Fermanagh and Omagh, who knows the Gregg family, said his death had shocked the community.

“Oisin was a very popular young man. He should have had his whole life ahead of him and yet it was tragically cut short in devastating circumstances,” said Mr Ovens.

“There has been a dark cloud hanging over the entire region over the past few days and I know that the community will stand by all the families affected by this tragedy in the time ahead,” he said.

A 44-year-old man was also taken to hospital after the accident on Friday evening.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
