Nina Dobrev gets out of the car for the first time after terrible bicycle accident

Nina Dobrev had a reason to dress up for the first time since her dirt bike accident.

On Wednesday, June 12, Vampire Diaries Star graced the episode of The conversationand revealed that the appearance on the CBS talk show was the first time in over two months that she actually left the house.

“I had knee surgery and was given a huge brace. I can’t really walk on my own yet… I had a broken knee and cruciate ligament and meniscus surgery,” she described her injuries.

However, Dobrev was happy to leave the house because he had “an excuse to dress up.”

When asked how she sustained the above injuries, the 35-year-old actress replied: “It was my first time riding a dirt bike and it didn’t go well.”

“I don’t recommend it, guys. It’s okay, I learned my lesson, never get on a dirt bike,” she issued a disclaimer to all motorcycle enthusiasts.

“I did a wheelie, lost control, the whiskey throttled, the bike flew,” Dobrev continued. “Luckily it didn’t fall on me, which the doctor said would have been much worse.”

“But when I landed, I landed on a straight leg and my knee was like broken,” she explained.

Additionally, Dobrev first announced in an Instagram post that she is recovering from a bicycle accident on Monday, May 20.
