Coroner identifies man killed after shooting early Wednesday morning

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO)– Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford released the name of the man killed in a shooting early Wednesday morning, the coroner’s office said.

Coroner Rutherford says the man is 46-year-old Steven W. Hughes of Lexington.

The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 12, in the 7200 block of Fairmont Drive.

“We will continue to work with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to fully investigate this shooting,” said Coroner Rutherford.
