A victim was sexually assaulted during an armed carjacking at a South Charlotte bank: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three people were attacked and robbed of their cars in the parking lot of a south Charlotte bank, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police reports.

On Sunday, June 9, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported armed robbery at a Bank of America located at 5801 South Blvd.

The victims, an 18-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, said the suspect was armed and stole their 2008 Toyota Camry. The suspect also reportedly sexually assaulted one of the victims.

According to the report, none of the victims sustained any injuries in the incident. It is unclear if the suspect has been caught or charged. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
