Red Dead Redemption 2 meets Stardew Valley in this free download

For two very different reasons Red Dead Redemption 2 And Stardew Valley are both popular games but differ greatly in terms of size, budget and genre. But what if we could combine the best of both?

Released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then the following year for PC, Red Dead Redemption 2 out of GTA VI Developer Rockstar Games is one of the most critically acclaimed titles of all time with a Metacritic score of 97. Red Dead Redemption 2 is praised for its captivating story and world, its well-written and fascinating characters, and the gunfights that are a true delight for Wild West fans.

Then we have the indie darling, the Stardew Valley. Originally released in 2016, developed and published by ConcernedApe, Stardew Valley is the prime example of indie games, praised for their relaxed farming sim atmosphere, supported to this day by a wealth of new content, and achieving a very respectable Metacritic score of 89.

However, where Red Dead Redemption 2 the farm simulation lifestyle is missing, Stardew Valley lacks the fast-paced action, but one modder has worked a little magic and brought the farming lifestyle to the Wild West (so to speak). This is where the mod “SafeFarm” by Tainaandrei1 comes in, which can now be downloaded for free via Nexusmods.

While the mod in question won’t let you farm to your heart’s content, it will give Arthur Morgan a lovely home to relax in, complete with a horse stable and enough pots and plants to make even a nice member of the GAMINGbible team a little jealous.

The house is located near Mattock Pond and is highlighted on the map on the Nexusmods page. However, there is one major catch if you want to make this beautiful house your own, and that is you have to kill the homeowner and his dog (sorry, I’m out, no dog dies while I’m watching).

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now, but this mod is exclusive to the PC version of the game. Stardew Valley is available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
