Stabbing in East New York: MTA bus driver attacked while driving in argument with man in Brooklyn, NYC

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) – An MTA bus driver was stabbed Saturday morning after getting into an argument with another man while on duty.

At approximately 11:40 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting an incident at the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and Alabama Avenue.

According to the NYPD, the 60-year-old driver was riding a Line 3 shuttle bus when a man approached him and started a verbal argument.

According to police, the suspect then stabbed the driver in the neck before fleeing the scene.

First responders took the victim to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

According to the MTA, no passengers were injured in the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.

Authorities are trying to find out who was behind the attack and what led to the stabbing.
