Police respond to reported mountain lion sighting in San Jose – NBC Bay Area

San Jose police said Wednesday evening that they responded to multiple reports of sightings of a cougar.

The incident was reported in the area of ​​Ella Drive and War Admiral Way in south San Jose.

San Jose police posted on social media that callers reported seeing a mountain lion roaming the front yards of several homes in the area.

Police are asking residents to stay in their homes and use caution when leaving, and asking anyone who sees the animal to call 911.

Officials are working with San Jose Animal Services to locate the mountain lion.
