US official: FBI offers help in Ticketmaster hacking incident

The FBI has offered assistance to Australian authorities after a hacker group claimed to have accessed the data of 560 million customers worldwide, a US embassy spokesman told AFP on Thursday.

The hacker group ShinyHunters had previously published details of their alleged break-in on the dark web, along with an offer to sell the information for $500,000 – triggering an investigation by Australian authorities.
