Police in Columbia find “person of interest” in investigation into missing woman

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

A man considered a “person of interest” in a missing person investigation has been tracked down by police, according to a Columbia Police Department spokeswoman.

CPD spokeswoman Jenny Hopper told ABC 17 News on Thursday that police have located 51-year-old Randall Fox and are no longer asking the public for help in the investigation. She also said the investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday, officers were called to the 1700 block of Ridgemont Drive as part of a missing person investigation. Police were trying to locate Marcia Hess and Sara Fox. They found the two bodies, which have yet to be identified, several days later, Columbia police said in a news release Wednesday.

Sara Elizabeth Fox, 50, and her mother Marcia Hess, 77, were reported missing Tuesday. They were last seen on May 8.

Randall Fox was not on the Boone County Jail inmate list as of Thursday evening.
