One dead after a shooting involving St. Paul police

ST PAUL, Minn. – One person is dead after police say they were involved in a shooting in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood of St. Paul on Monday evening.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers were involved in a shooting in the 1100 block of Rose Avenue East just before 7:30 p.m. Police confirmed that one person died but provided little further information. According to SPPD, no officers were injured.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) will lead the investigation into the shooting.
