Illinois man pleads guilty to sexually abusing child in Berrien Springs – 95.3 MNC

An Illinois man has pleaded guilty to sex crimes after meeting a child in Berrien Springs.

Authorities say 26-year-old Eduardo Torres of Waukegan filmed himself sexually abusing a 12-year-old in April 2023 after meeting them online, communicating with them via Snapchat and traveling to Berrien Springs to meet in person meet.

Torres reportedly attacked the child before taking him to his home, crossing state lines.

He originally pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child last December and was sentenced to 210 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
