Beautiful Sunday, then the rain returns for the work week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – After a beautiful weekend, we will see unsettled weather again for several days this week.

Download the WSMV 4 First Alert Weather app for iPhone or Android. Our team of meteorologists will send alerts to your phone about upcoming conditions. They also share custom videos about the weather where you live.

Plan for a wonderful Mother’s Day today with lots of sunshine and seasonal temperatures in the 80s. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s. Take advantage of the dry weather before it starts raining for most of next week.

Monday will see off-and-on showers throughout the day. Highs will be in the low 70s. There will continue to be plenty of dry spells, but rain will continue into Tuesday.

Tuesday looks to be the wettest day of the week. Plan for rain and storms – with a few isolated storms on the stronger side. I’m not expecting any severe weather, but some could produce loud thunder and gusty winds. Some wind gusts may reach speeds of up to 25-30 miles per hour. The rain will continue into Wednesday morning before easing by Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures will remain in the mid 70s.

Thursday will be dry and warm with highs in the 80s. It will be our only dry day before rain returns on Friday and continues into next weekend.
