Chatham County police are investigating after two people were found dead in a Wilmington Island home

CHATHAM COUNTY, Georgia (WTOC) – Chatham County Police are investigating after two people were found dead in a home yesterday.

Chatham County Police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 10 block of Rigger Court around 10:30 a.m. Thursday to check on the welfare of the residents. Upon arrival, officers discovered a dead adult male and female inside the home. Both had gunshot wounds.

According to CCPD, preliminary investigation results do not indicate that an intruder was in the home, but they are continuing to work to gather more information and evidence.
