Fatal car crash on east side leaves one dead, three injured: Cleveland police

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland police say one person died and three people were injured in a car crash Saturday night.

Police said they were called to the area between East 120th Street and Superior Avenue around 8:20 p.m. because a car had crashed into a building.

According to police, the car was traveling westbound on Superior Avenue when it went out of control for an unknown reason.

The cat then crashed into a fire hydrant and a building.

Police said the 20-year-old woman, who was traveling with an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old woman, was taken to hospital by emergency services for treatment.

A fourth woman was also taken to hospital by emergency services and later succumbed to her injuries, according to police.

According to a press release, the age of the deceased woman is not known to the police.

According to police, speed is probably a factor in this accident.

This accident is being investigated by the Cleveland Police Department.
