Shooting near homeless camp in Downey leaves three dead

DOWNEY, Calif. (KABC) – Three men were killed in a shooting near a homeless camp in Downey on Saturday, police said.

Officers responded to the west side of the San Gabriel Riverbed and Highway 105 around 8:50 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots in the area.

When they arrived, they found three men with gunshot wounds. All three men died at the scene.

The trigger for the shooting is still unclear, but police said it appears to be an “isolated incident.”

As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests had been made and no information about the suspects had been released.
