8-year-old boy killed, parents stabbed by knife-wielding family member shot by cops in NYC nightmare

An 8-year-old boy was killed and his parents stabbed to death in their Queens home on Thursday by a family member armed with a knife, police said.

The tragedy occurred in an apartment at 147-25 94th Avenue in Jamaica, said NYPD Chief John Chell.

The suspect, believed to be the dead boy’s stepbrother, was shot by police when he refused to drop a knife from his father’s neck, according to Chell.

The investigation is ongoing.
