2 people killed in separate shootings in Orange County

Officers are investigating after two people were killed in two separate shootings in Orange County on Thursday. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to one of the shootings in the 5200 block of Sailfish Street at around 2:07 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a man in his 40s with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries, officials said. Minutes later, at 2:20 p.m., officers said they received another call in the 2700 block of Appaloosa Road regarding another shooting. Officers said they found a man in his 20s who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital and also succumbed to his injuries. Orange County officials said they believe the shooting is related and have arrested a suspect. The incident remains under investigation.

Officials are currently investigating after two people were killed in separate shootings in Orange County on Thursday.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to one of the shootings at about 2:07 p.m. in the 5200 block of Sailfish Street.

When they arrived, they found a man in his 40s suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and died of his injuries, officials said.

A few minutes later, at 2:20 p.m., officers said they received another call from the 2700 block of Appaloosa Road regarding another shooting.

Officers said they found a man in his 20s who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital and also died from his injuries.

Orange County officials believe the shooting is related and have arrested a suspect.

The incident remains under investigation.
