Rahul Gandhi speaks in the Lok Sabha: I was attacked on PM Modi’s orders, the interrogation by ED was the most entertaining part

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament on Monday that there had been a systematic and comprehensive attack on the idea of India, the Constitution and the people who had opposed this attack on the Constitution.

Gandhi said many opposition leaders were personally attacked. Some of them are still in jail. Anyone who opposed the idea of concentration of power and wealth, aggression against the poor, Dalits and minorities was crushed.

He said: “I was attacked on the orders of the Indian government, on the orders of the Indian Prime Minister… The most pleasant part was the 55 hours of interrogation by the ED…”

“…The Prime Minister says that (Mahatma) Gandhi is dead and Gandhi was revived through a film. Can you understand this ignorance? … Another thing that struck me is that not just one religion talks about courage. All religions talk about courage,” the Leader of the Opposition said in the Lok Sabha.

Gandhi further said, “All our great men have spoken about non-violence and overcoming fear… But those who call themselves Hindus talk only about violence, hatred, untruth… Aap Hindu ho hi nahi…”
