Convicted felon arrested for giving false name during traffic stop | Texas news

Houston, Texas – A convicted felon was arrested after giving a false name during a traffic stop, authorities said.

On June 27, 2024, officers from Constable Mark Herman’s office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 14700 block of Mueschke Road. According to a press release from the constable’s office, the driver initially gave the officer a false name and date of birth.

After further investigation, officers identified the driver as Kevon Malone, a convicted felon. “Kevon Malone was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of identity fraud. His bail and court dates have not been set at this time,” said Constable Mark Herman.
