Man shot multiple times in Sherwood Hotel parking lot

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A man in his 20s was found in critical condition after being shot multiple times while sitting in his van parked at a Rodeway Inn hotel in the 4700 block of Sherwood Lane. The shooting occurred around 9:49 p.m. following an argument between the victim and another man.

According to Houston Police Department (HPD) reports, the suspect went up to a hotel room on the second floor, grabbed a rifle and shot the victim before fleeing in an unknown vehicle. The victim also tried to flee by car, but lost consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

It is unclear what sparked the argument between the two men. The investigation is ongoing.
