Jamestown, NY woman killed in fatal crash

Silver Creek, NY (WJET/WFXP) — A woman was killed in a fatal crash in Silver Creek, New York early Friday morning.

This is according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, which received a report of a serious accident near Dennison Road in Silver Creek at 6:47 a.m. The Silver Creek and Hanover Center fire departments and Chautauqua County EMS were also at the scene.

After an investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was traveling on Dennison Road in Silver Creek when it left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, identified as 54-year-old Rachel Lynn Lucas of Jamestown, NY, was transported by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. She later died of her injuries at the hospital.
