Virginia murder suspect arrested in North Carolina

HIGHWAY. BREAKING NEWS THIS MORNING, A MURDER SUSPECT FROM DANVILLE, VIRGINIA WAS ARRESTED IN NORTH CAROLINA AFTER RUNNING AWAY FROM THE CRIME SCENE. POLICE SAY OFFICERS CAME TO THE WOODSIDE VILLAGE APARTMENT COMPLEX AT 1050 LAST NIGHT AND FOUND 24-YEAR-OLD TYSHAWN FARMER WITH MULTIPLE GUNSHOT WOUNDS. HE LATER DIED IN THE HOSPITAL. POLICE SAY THIS MAN, 22-YEAR-OLD RICHARD WILSON JUNIOR, IS IN CAPTIVITY

Police: Murder suspect from Virginia arrested in North Carolina

Danville police are investigating a homicide that occurred late Tuesday night. Officers said they responded to a call from the Woodside Village apartment complex on Piney Forest Road at 10:49 p.m. Investigators said they found Tasean Delvecchio Farmer, 24, of Danville, shot multiple times inside an apartment. He was later pronounced dead at Sovah Health. Investigators say 22-year-old Danville resident Richard Lee Wilson Jr. fled the scene. He was later located and arrested. Wilson is charged with second-degree murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, use of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm inside an occupied structure. He is in custody in North Carolina. This case remains under investigation and law enforcement say it appears to be an isolated incident.
