A woman’s death is being investigated by Lockport police

LOCKPORT, IL – Police continue to investigate the death of a Lockport woman who died of a gunshot wound on May 1, Lockport Patch police said.

The Will County Coroner’s Office said Rosy Strasser, 51, was pronounced dead May 1 in the 900 block of McKinley Court. Strasser was the victim of an “apparent gunshot wound.”

The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date, pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports, according to the coroner’s office.

Lockport police told Patch they are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. The manner of death has not yet been conclusively clarified, the police said on Tuesday.
