Man charged with sexually abusing a child in an Osceola home

A 40-year-old man was arrested by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office after being accused of sexually abusing a child at a local residence.

According to Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, the male suspect, identified as William Kenneth Osceola Jr., was visiting several acquaintances at an Osceola County residence when he allegedly lured a child under the age of 12 into a bedroom.

The sheriff stated that a witness inside the house heard a commotion coming from the bedroom. When the witness entered the room, he saw Osceola with the child, and Osceola’s pants allegedly fell down.

Osceola left the apartment before police arrived, but he was soon found, arrested, and taken to the Osceola County Jail.

Osceola is currently being held in jail without bail and is charged with sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12 by an adult.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has not released any further details about the alleged incident.

Osceola made his first court appearance on Monday, June 10. Three days later, he entered a written plea of ​​not guilty.

According to Osceola County court records, no further court dates have been scheduled.
