First Alert Weather Team expects some showers in some areas – Action News Jax

For the rest of the week, the probability of rain will continue to decrease.

Father’s Day weekend promises to be hot and mostly dry, with only isolated showers.

Onshore winds will continue throughout the weekend, so there will continue to be a moderate risk of rip currents on the beaches.

As for the tropics, the First Alert Weather Team is monitoring a weak low pressure system that will cross the state of Florida tomorrow and enter the southwest Atlantic off the coast of the southeastern U.S. Conditions are not ideal for tropical development, but the likelihood of a tropical/subtropical system forming is low.

Our area should be unaffected, other than the risk of increased surf backwash on the beach later in the week.
