Woman killed in overnight shooting in Kansas City, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Kansas – Police in Kansas City, Kansas, are investigating a shooting after a woman was found dead late Tuesday night.

A man walked into the emergency room at KU Hospital and told police he had killed someone. Officers were subsequently dispatched to a home in North Hallock between Troup Avenue and Franklin Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday evening to investigate the incident.

When officers arrived at the home, they found a woman who had been shot.

Police said the man was in custody this morning. The investigation is ongoing.
