NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A man was arrested Monday for allegedly sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy in Irvington, New Jersey, authorities said.

Caream Davis, 46, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping, aggravated assault, attempted sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and making terroristic threats, prosecutors said Thursday.

US Marshals arrested Davis in Virginia on Wednesday evening. According to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, he will now be extradited to New Jersey.

The public prosecutor’s office did not provide further details about the attacks, but stated that one of the victims was a minor and the other was an adult.

Surveillance video shows a suspect approaching the 11-year-old and dragging him from the front of the house to the side. PIX11 News has learned that the perpetrator led the child to the back of the house and threatened to kill him if he made any noise.

According to the Irvington Detective Bureau, the boy was walking his dog on Ellis Avenue around 6:30 a.m. The family told PIX11 News that the suspect was waiting when the boy tried to enter the house.

“My son was strangled in front of my house; he was taken right there, yes, to the back,” the mother previously told PIX11 News.
