First Alert Forecast: Drier weather soon

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Lower humidity coming soon

Today is another day to have your umbrella ready in the Midstate, as we’re already seeing more showers and storms this morning. Things will probably drier a bit this afternoon, but be prepared for more popcorn showers and storms as the day progresses.

Any storm can still bring heavy rain and gusty winds, but these are expected to remain below critical levels today. Afternoon highs will be between 25 and 27 degrees and it will again be very humid.

This evening the rain will mostly subside, with lows of around 15 degrees Celsius.

I can’t rule out a few showers tomorrow morning, but the sun will return during the day. Thursday will be warmer in the afternoon, with highs between 30 and 35 degrees.

Friday will be a fantastic day throughout the Midstate with lots of sunshine, low humidity and temperatures pleasantly between 27 and 29 degrees.

As we prepare for the weekend, there are some changes to our forecast.

Saturday will start dry and most of the afternoon will remain dry with highs between 27 and 30 degrees. Late Saturday and overnight into Saturday, some rain showers will move into the central state.

There will be a few more showers and thunder through Sunday, so we’ll have to wait and see how that affects your weekend plans and CMA Fest in the coming days.

On Monday and Tuesday it will be drier again, with maximum temperatures around 30 degrees.
