1 dead in traffic accident on the highway in southern Dallas

DALLAS – One person was killed in an early morning traffic accident in the Oak Cliff district of Dallas.

It happened shortly after midnight Monday in the northbound lanes of the Marvin D. Love Freeway between Hampton Road and Ledbetter Drive.

An SUV hit a minivan and then crashed into a wall.

The SUV driver died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the minivan was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in that vehicle was also treated and released.

The police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
