Child killed in car crash in Tulane-Gravier, NOLA police say | Crime/Police

According to the New Orleans Police Department, a child was killed in a car crash in the Tulane-Gravier area at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and South Broad Street on Sunday afternoon.

The unidentified minor was in one of the two cars involved in the crash and was ejected from the vehicle during the impact, the department said. The victim was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly afterward.

The accident was reported around 2 p.m.

The police did not initially provide any further details about the accident.
