Fraud alert in Mountain Home

Arkansas State University. – The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce and the Red, White and Blue Festival have released a message warning community members about a scam.

There are scammers contacting residents to ask them to register for the Red, White and Blue Festival. They let people know that, unlike the scammers, the Chamber of Commerce does not ask for personal or banking information.

The Chamber of Commerce has three live links to register for the festival. One to sign up as a vendor, one to participate in the parade, and one to sign up as a volunteer for the festival. All three links can only be found on their website, www.redwhitebluefestival.com. They ask that no one fill out any personal information on these registration forms unless you find it through the website.

If you are unsure if you have received a false message, you can message their Facebook page directly, call the office at (870) 425-5111, or email [email protected].
