Atlantic City woman killed in car crash

Atlantic City police are investigating a car crash that killed a city woman on Sunday.

Shortly before 3 p.m., police were called to mile marker 56 on Route 30 westbound, Captain Kevin Fair said.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle left the road for an unknown reason while changing lanes. It crashed into a light pole and traffic signs.

The 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Her name was not released.

The car is a green Toyota Camry, built in 2002.
