Hartford, Connecticut police investigate ‘suspicious’ death in apartment

The police describe the victim’s death as “suspicious” and are currently investigating the case as a murder.

HARTFORD, Connecticut – Hartford police are investigating after a man was found dead in an apartment Friday morning.

Just before 10 a.m., officers arrived at an apartment in the 100 block of Wethersfield Avenue and found a man with “trauma-related injuries.” The man, whom police identified Saturday as Andrew Gunn, 57, was pronounced dead in the apartment.

According to police, the injury Gunn sustained was a gunshot wound.

Police believe Gunn died on Friday night. His death is “suspicious” and the investigation is currently treating it as murder.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is working to determine Gunn’s cause and time of death.
