1 dead, 1 arrested after argument in a house in Bronzeville

CHICAGO – A 36-year-old man was killed after an altercation at a home in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

It happened around 9:35 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of South Michigan Avenue. Police said a 42-year-old man and a 36-year-old man got into a verbal argument inside a residence.


The 36-year-old verbally threatened the 42-year-old, which led to a physical altercation, police said.

According to police, the 36-year-old suffered injuries to his body and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

When the police arrived at the scene, the 42-year-old was arrested.

The detectives from Area Three are investigating.
