Central Marin police arrested a man after a suspected robbery at the Village at Corte Madera shopping center.

The incident was reported at Nordstrom around 11:50 a.m. Sunday. The suspect attacked an employee while stealing sunglasses and then fled the store with an accomplice, police Sgt. Jeff Peterson said.

Authorities encountered one of the suspects after a vehicle crash on northbound Highway 101 near the exit for Interstate 580, Peterson said. The suspect was treated for minor injuries at MarinHealth Medical Center and arrested, Peterson said.

Jose Lizandro-Quispe, 28, of San Francisco, was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. His bail was set at $75,000.

The police were unable to find the alleged accomplice.
