Body found in Cottondale, investigation ongoing

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Officials are investigating a structure fire after a body was reportedly found there.

On Tuesday, a fire was extinguished at a building near Palmview Road and Woodrest Road in Cottondale when a body was found, according to officials.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the body has not been identified at this time and it is an ongoing investigation.
