Troy man arrested after car chase

EASTON, NY (NEWS10) – New York State Police arrested a Troy man after a car chase on State Route 40 in Easton on May 13. Kevin Penadicent, 19, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation on May 12 just before 11 p.m. when he allegedly failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated.

Police say that during the pursuit, Penadicent accelerated recklessly and turned off her headlights to avoid being caught, and that officers lost sight of the car during the pursuit. Police reports say Penadicent and a passenger were found in the car off the road a short time later. Penadicent is said to have crashed into a power pole and severed it before stopping in a field nearby.


Penacident was arrested and released. He was issued an appearance ticket and will return to Easton Town Court on June 20.
