Man Arrested for Alleged Voyeurism After Peeking into Minor’s Room While Standing on a Bucket of Lube – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 22-year-old man, Rodrick Penn, was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on charges of voyeurism after he allegedly peeped into a minor’s room while standing on a bucket and holding lube .

“It’s a little scary because we have kids running up and down this sidewalk,” said a concerned neighbor who wished to remain anonymous.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a call reporting a suspicious person looking in the windows of homes in the area. The exact location of the neighborhood was not disclosed in the report.

Penn was first noticed by a neighbor on May 7, and two weeks later he was filmed by the same neighbor’s security camera standing on a bucket and peering through the window of a minor who was not present in the room at the time .

When the neighbor spotted Penn, he fled and dropped a tube of lube.

Although the neighbor immediately notified the police, no formal report was filed.

“I don’t know him, but I’ve seen him walking around the neighborhood a few times,” another resident said.

Penn has since been released on bail.

During an investigation by Action News Jax’s home, a no trespassing sign was discovered in the window of his home.

Homeowners in the area said it was a quiet area. When people learned what had happened, it shocked many people.

The incident sparked a call for increased vigilance among residents.

“We should be aware of the existence of sex offenders, peeping Toms and everything else, which is such a shame,” another resident said.

In addition to the voyeurism charges, Penn is accused of loitering and prowling. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 29.
