One was arrested and one was injured following the attack on Elmira Byrne Dairy

ELMIRA, NY (WETM) – One man was injured and one man was arrested following an incident at a dairy in Elmira Byrne early Sunday morning.

According to the Elmira Police Department, 45-year-old Russell Bodine of Southport was arrested after police responded to a disturbance at the Byrne Dairy at 528 Pennsylvania Ave. had examined. Police said they responded to the location around 1:10 a.m. on May 12 and found a male victim with multiple cuts to his head and face.

After police secured the location, Erway Ambulance paramedics were able to enter the area and treat the victim, whose name has not been publicly released. The man was then taken to a local hospital for further treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.

Beaver Dams shooting suspect arrested

Bodine was charged with first-degree assault, a Class B felony. His arraignment was read in Elmira Municipal Court and he was transported to the Chemung County Jail.
