1 dead, another injured after motorcycle accident in Beaver Dam | News

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident Saturday.

According to officials, a witness reported a motorcycle accident on State Highway 33 near Thompson Road around 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning. This is in Beaver Dam Township.

Officials say a group of motorcycles were traveling eastbound and slowed down, “possibly because a car was slowing to turn into a driveway.” The motorcycle involved then lost control and both occupants were thrown from the motorcycle.

The operator, a 42-year-old Beaver Dam man, was flown by UW Med Flight to a level two trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

A 50-year-old passenger, also from Beaver Dam, died at the landing site.

None of the occupants were wearing helmets, which officials said was a factor in the severity of the injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
