Police are investigating a murder at the Summerville apartment complex

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) – Summerville Police are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex.

Officers were called to the Villas of Summerville at 1310 Boone Hill Rd. Friday night just before 10 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

On scene, officers found a man sitting in a parked vehicle suffering from a fatal gunshot wound, police said in a news release on social media.

Dorchester County emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office said the man’s name would be released Monday.

It is unclear whether there have been any arrests in connection with the crime.
